Free Software for Students

All full-time students at Seneca can use the following software for free:

Netiquette for Online Sessions

When you become involved with online discussion groups, remember that there are acceptable rules of behaviour to follow during this online meeting. It is important to know the proper code of behaviour when using this technology. Here is a module on netiquette, which is about etiquette during online sessions.

Seneca Tools for Online Delivery

  • Blackboard Collaborate: Students will be able to join Collaborate sessions through their Blackboard course sites.
  • Big Blue Button (BBB): A web conferencing tool that instructors may use for online lessons.
  • VoiceThread: A tool that can be used for discussions, presentations, or online lessons.
  • WebEx: A collaboration tool used for online meetings, conference calls or online classroom sessions as needed.
