Studio Equipment Rules

 

  • The Sandbox does not loan out equipment, all equipment must remain in the studio at all times.

     ITS Service Desk may have equipment available for sign out to students, faculty, and staff.

  • Users are responsible for backing up all their files for their project. The Sandbox is not responsible for lost files. Users must supply their own USB key, external hard drive, etc.

  • All users are expected to abide by the Seneca Polytechnic Student Code of Conduct and Information Technology Acceptable Use Policy.

  • Sandbox equipment must not be left unattended at any time. The user shall take all necessary steps and precautions for the safekeeping of equipment. The user must report any problems or malfunctions to Sandbox staff immediately.

  • The user assumes responsibility for theft or damage of equipment while they are in the studio. Repair/replacement costs, up to a maximum of $2000, will be charged in the event of damage, loss, or theft of equipment.

Users will be prompted to read and abide by Sandbox Studio Booking Rules and Studio Equipment Use rules prior to booking a studio.
