Business Case Studies

Welcome!

The Case Studies guide is designed to get you started finding case studies and using the case method. The guide covers the basics of the case method, and where and how to find case studies.

Additional support is available by booking a personalized Research Appointment with library staff.

What is the Case Method?

"The case method of analysis involves studying actual business situations in order to improve a [...] student's problem-solving ability. Cases typically investigate a contemporary issue in a real-life context.

Cases... elicit diverse ideas, experiences, and views about case material. In a relatively short period of time, students have the chance to appreciate and analyze problems faced by many different companies."
