Using databases to find an expert

You may have to search for experts within published materials. See some suggestions below for identifying subject experts from research articles or politicians worling on specific issues.

Subject Specific Databases
Search Seneca Library's subject-specific databases to find articles written by experts in particular fields. The authors will usually supply contact information. To locate databases by subject visit the corresponding subject guide or simply click on the link below.
Hansard - Canada
Search Hansard to find out which individuals are debating on a topic. You can also search committee reports to identify experts.

News Sources

Search through newspaper articles to see who has already spoken to the media on an issue.

(ProQuest) Part of ProQuest Central. Canadian Newsstream provides access to more than 190 full-text Canadian newspapers from Canada's leading publishers, including the Globe and Mail and the Toronto Star. This full-text database includes electronic compilations from most newspapers, providing access to articles, columns, editorials, and special publications from each. Some compilations date from the late 70s.
