Try it! Use the Canadian Newsstream database to find an Article

Search for a current and relevant newspaper article on the travel industry.

Navigate the database in the window below (scroll down and click Canadian Newsstream), or open it in a new tab from this link: https://library.senecapolytechnic.ca/res/pq_canadiannews

  1. Log into the Canadian Newsstream database
  2. Enter the search criteria:
    • Type travel industry into the search box
    • Limit the search to Full Text and to articles published in the Last 12 months
  3. Click Search
  4. Limit the results by Source Type to Newspapers
  5. This found quite a few results! Try narrowing the search down to articles discussing corporate travel specifically. Replace travel with "corporate travel" in the search bar. Use the quotation marks to search for an exact phrase.

  6. Scroll through the results and find the article: "Flying less and Zooming more, corporate travel may never be the same: Business trips are not keeping pace with the overall rebound in tourism", published in the Globe and Mail.
    • Hint: Sort results by Relevance to bring more relevant results to the top of the list
  7. Click on the title of the article to read its full text.

On small screens, look for a Filter button. On larger screens, the filters will display on the left-hand side of the page. Find Newspapers listed under Source type.

Sort the results by Relevance to bring articles that are more related to the search terms to the top of the list. Find this option on the left-side menu, or on small screens by clicking the Filter button.

This database provides current full-text access to over 190 Canadian news sources. For articles from the Globe and Mail, National Post, Toronto Star, and more Canadian newspapers, this database is the best bet!
