Overview of this Tutorial

Business is about external environments, internal environments, stakeholders and how they interact. It is important to keep up to date with world and business issues which affect not only business interests, but each of us personally. This tutorial is designed to familiarize you with sources for information on current business issues, and strategies you can use to find current, relevant information.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to search for business news and magazine articles through Seneca Libraries databases. You will also learn how to cite those articles, and your course textbook, in MLA style.

Upon completing this tutorial, you will have the research and citation skills to complete the quiz and research assignment.

This tutorial will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

 

  • Search for articles in library databases, in order to find information on business topics.
  • Use database search filters and advanced search techniques to refine search results by source type, publication date, and keywords.
  • Select articles on a business topic that are current and relevant.
  • Create a Works Cited list according to MLA-style citation guidelines.
