Course Readings

Overview

Course Readings is an exciting system which sees the marriage of two library services: course reserves and online course resource pages. The integration of these two services streamline processes and improve access for students.

Course Readings are available to students two ways:

  • Faculty's MySeneca course (at the discretion of the faculty)

    Course Reserve Search

  • Through the library website. Click on the Course Readings tab:

    Course Reserve Search

Items that cannot be made available online, for copyright or other reasons, will be placed in the library's reserve room. Items in the reserve room can be limited to in-library use and have loan periods of two hours to one week.

Benefits of Course Readings:

  • missing or damaged pages are no longer a problem
  • no loan periods
  • no lining up at the photocopier or the card machine
  • course readings are collocated and delivered through one system
  • course readings can be accessed through MySeneca, where students access much of their course information already.
