Academic Honesty Plagiarism Tutorial
Overview
Seneca Libraries has developed an interactive tutorial to demonstrate plagiarism concepts to Seneca students. This version was adapted from "You Quote It, You Note It!" created by Acadia University and has been modified to include specific Seneca policies.
There are two versions of the tutorial.
Tutorial with quizzes - similar to the packages publishers create to accompany textbooks, this version is designed to be used in MySeneca. The tutorial package includes two quizzes, one pre-assessment and one post-assessment, the question pools for those quizzes, and Gradebook settings which collect the quiz results for you but do not include them in your final calculations. To use this version, please see the following instructions:
Instructions (PDF);
Files for tutorialTutorial without quizzes - this version is simply the content of the tutorial and does not include any sort of assessment. To access this version please visit: http://infoliteracy.senecac.on.ca/ah
Recommendations for Faculty
Seneca Libraries has developed a set of recommendations for faculty who are using the tutorial with their students. These recommendations are based on two pilot projects run in the winter and summer of 2007 and were developed to help students get the most value out of their experience with the tutorial.

Faculty Survey
If you have used the tutorial with your students, we would love to hear from you! We have created an online survey that takes about 10 minutes to complete. Please help us improve the tutorial by sharing your experiences and ideas.
